- Step 1: Preheat Oven and Cook Pasta: Preheat oven to 375F (190C). Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Step 2: Saut Chicken and Garlic: In a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Step 3: Add Broccoli: Add broccoli florets to the skillet with the chicken. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is slightly tender-crisp.
- Step 4: Make Alfredo Sauce: Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg. Reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Step 5: Combine and Bake: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the chicken, broccoli, and Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to combine all ingredients. Sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese over the top. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Step 6: Rest and Serve: Let the bake rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or red pepper flakes, if desired.
- Optional Tips:
- - For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. However, the sauce will be thinner.
- - Add other vegetables such as mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for added nutrition and flavor.
- - Topping with breadcrumbs will provides a pleasant crunch.
